I have always thought that when airplane mode was on, my phone would be taken
offline completely unless I went into airplane mode settings and told it still
to use wifi. But I just discovered that even with airplane mode turned on, it
still is on wifi, and subsequently wifi calling. I tried to find the setting to
configure airplane mode to take it completely offline, but can not find it. If
I can't tell it to take my phone completely offline, what good is airplane
mode? The purpose of airplane mode, I thought, was to prevent these devices
from possibly interfering with navigation systems when aboard an airplane.
Thanks for any clarification.
