I was answering someone else who wanted to recharge it; a third person confirmed my summary with using real batteries. My quoting previous message in full should have indicated this. The original question is now resolved. It wasn't mine.

I can probably answer your question about the Apple Wireless Keyboard since I have one, but I don't understand what you meant when you wrote "Sure it's not a real doubleA or trilpeA battery." Anyhow, the On/Off button is on the right end of that rounded back portion that runs along the entire length of the keyboard and in order to turn the keyboard off one has to push and hold the button for a good 3 or 4 seconds. I usually check to see if it is off by pressing the caps lock key since if Voiceover is on and the keyboard hasn't turned off, Voiceover would say "Caps Lock on", but it's not a key that would really do anything. On the left end opposite from the on/off button is a slotted cap which one can usually remove with a strong fingernail or a coin. This is the cover for the battery compartment which takes 2 standard Double A batteries. The batteries go in what I call "head first" which means the side that has the little knobby thing goes in first and the flat side faces out. I had a full size Apple BT keyboard which did take those and the battery compartment was in that rounded bit along the back and think the cap was on the left hand end. could be the other end as there's an on button on an end. I've not got it now, so can't chekc. Today, when I tried to use the keyboard, it is not turning on, so I think, not sure, that the batery has died. I didn't receive a charger when I bought the keyboard and don't know how to charge it. Can someone help??? Cheers. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
