The other night, I had a situation where the driver did not have the audio on and we went a very different way than I’m used to. My sighted daughter was with me and she told me the road. I then opened Apple Maps and I could see that we were on that major road I knew. My daughter could also see the driver’s GPS and where he was being directed to turn. So, my question is, if I already have Uber or Lyft open, what other app makes sense to run to keep tabs on where we are? Is just having Apple Maps open what you do or do you recommend something else? I might have used soundscape in the past. I have BlindSquare, but I need to get in better practice of adjusting settings. In this case, I just wanted to know which road we were on and cross streets so that I knew if my safety was at risk. Thoughts appreciated.
