This is a bug report immediately to Apple Accessibility. You could try if your caption panel is on, if so, put it off for me the bug was solved then. Davy

This can be real irritating when I’m in the middle of reading something and I have to start over swipe in to resume reading. I have typically kept my screen curtain on for ages to conserve battery life, and to add some privacy. Does anyone else know why this is occurring?
