Fazil, can you not contact the provider from whom you purchased the physical SIM and ask if they know why this is happening? I did exactly what you said in the Philippines a year ago, I was using an Telus e-SIM from Canada and bought a physical SIM from Smart in the Philippines, but as soon as it was inserted and I bought a prepaid package all worked as expected. I know texting in most countries in Asia, Africa and so on is much more common than actually calling people, but all I can think of is to make sure you have loaded up your SIM with a package which includes texting, data and some calls.
