I'm running it, and it's not causing any problems with JAWS. In addition to
Richard's excellent notes below, you can also use it to read the notifications
on your phone and get these notifications in Windows. It seems like the
notifications panel is always there, so you'll get to it by tabbing around. You
can also go into your Windows settings and turn on or off notifications for
specific apps on your phone. For example, I don't need mail or calendar
notifications from my phone on my PC since I already get those notifications
from my Windows applications.

This is really helpful. I will have to try this ap again, as I installed it a
couple months back and it seemed to cause major issues with JAWS.

Subject: Phone Link for Windows 11

Phone Link for Windows with JAWS

Phone Link is a service in Windows 11 that allows you to connect your smart
phone over bluetooth so you can use your computer for taking/making calls as
well as reading/sending text messages. It is available for both Android and
iOS. A link to the Microsoft page concerning Phone Link is at the end.
The app is called Link to Windows.

I don't have it all figured out, but here is a start.

Phone Link for Windows seems to remember where you last were in the program.
So, if you exit the app while on Messages, focus will be on the New Message
button when you start it again.
If you were on the Calls tab, it will start with your call history.

I left Phone Link on messages, so when I launched it, Jaws speech history shows:
SplashScreen loading
Phone Link
New message Button

If I shift tab from the New Message button, I hear:
Features
Secondary Features Settings. No unread items Tab 1 of 1 Alt followed by S

Shift+tab again and hear:
Features Messages. No unread items Tab 1 of 2 Alt followed by 1

Then right arrow once and hear:
Calls. No unread items Tab 2 of 2 Alt followed by 2

Now, If you hit spacebar when on Messages and tab you get:
Features Messages. No unread items Tab 1 of 2 Alt followed by 1 Tab again to:
Secondary Features Settings. No unread items Tab 1 of 1 Alt followed by S Tab
again:
New message Button
Tab again:
Conversations List box Recent Conversation with Richard Turner. Message
preview. Testing. 1 of 1
Tab:
Learn more about messages Button
Keep tabbing and you get info about your phone, etc.

When I am on my phone info in Phone Link and press the hotkey for calls, Alt+2
I hear:
Call History
Recent calls List box
Carol Davies, Incoming, ?12?-?Aug?-?23 at ?8?:?25? ?PM If I tab then, I hear:
Dialer Search your contacts Edit
You can then search your contacts.
If you keep tabbing without searching, you hear:

Keypad
1 Button
2 Button
3 Button
4 Button
5 Button
6 Button
7 Button
8 Button
9 Button
* Button
0 Button
# Button

If I am in the Search your Contacts and for example type Fred: I get this:
2 results. Suggestions: 2, fred
Fred Meyer Hawthorne. 5 0 3 8 7 2 3 3 0 0 . Work

If I hit enter on that number I hear:

Call Dialed number ( 5 0 3 ) 8 7 2 - 3 3 0 0 Button If I hit enter again, I
call that number from my computer using my phone.
The focus with Jaws lands on the End Call button, or if your phone is handy you
can do the standard two finger double tap to hang up.

If you are on the messages tab, New Message Button and hit spacebar or enter,
you land in the to field.
If I use the above example and type Fred I get the same results, and if I hit
enter, I am in an edit box to type my text message.
Note, As far as I can tell, you cannot enter hard returns/new lines in a text
message, when you hit enter, it sends the message.

I hope that is helpful,
