With something like a small sSD it is easy, just open the camera app, put the SSD on the table and put the phone on top of it with the camera lense which you can easily find by touching the back of the phone. Then raise the phone straight up maybe 6 or 8 inches which for a small item like an SSD is all that is required and take the picture. You can either find the "Take Picture button and double tap it or you can press either the volume up or volume down button, either one will take the picture. Once you have done this, you can access the picture either by tapping on the "Photo and Video Viewer" button which is one swipe to the right o fthe Take Picture button or you can get out of the camera app and open the photos app. You can then find the picture, tap on it and then find the share button so you can email it to the company or email it to yourself first and then send it on.
Alternatively, if you have the Aira app on your iPhone you can call them, make sure you have your SSD on the table and tell them what you want to do. They can then tell you how to hold your phone and take the picture for you and email it to you. All of that is quite doable in a 5 minute free call.
