I like the new tones, and the associated haptics, but my hearing loss is very slight. I would suggest that people actually give them a spin on IOS 17 before making up their mind. The recording is great, but once you have these tones on your own phone where you can adjust the volume and hear the tones without the surrounding audio you'll then you'll have a better environment in which to decide if they're OK or not.
