I am not entirely sure what you are asking, If you have a certain passcode for your device, for example 325654, then you have to enter this passcode as soon as you proceed with the update. Once the update is done and the iPhone or iPad reboots you will have to enter that same passcode since Touch Id/Face Id only work once you enter your passcode once after a reboot. Upgrading your device will not remove or change the passcode unless you do a factory reset of course.I assume by
