But it did say "cozy room" and in the other example I just posted, it described
the picture as a "serene outdoor setting", it also mentions "magestic
mountains" so definitely descriptive and somewhat subjective terms. Not
everybody would describe the coast range here as "magestic", maybe "rugged" as
it's more wildenress than anything else, but the mountains are typically no
more than 8000 or 9000 feet so not exactly like 12,000 or 15,000 foot peaks.
But hey, I'm not complaining and even though my guide dog is almost 10 years
old, most people still call him cute or adorable when he comes with his toy in
his mouth etc. so there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

I noticed that the description did not contain any of those subjective elements
such as "adorable" dog with "soulful" eyes or whatever that was that another
recent poster sent over. I think that is to the good.

The amount of detail you get from Be My AI when you take a picture of a photo,
painting or even just a room is amazing.
I just randomly snapped a picture towards one side of our bedroom the other day
and here is what Be My AI described:

The picture shows a cozy room with wooden flooring. On the left side, there is
a wooden dresser with five drawers and a small TV on top of it. The wall above
the dresser is plain with a light gray color.

On the right side, there is a window with a white horizontal blind. The window
has a wooden frame that matches the color of the dresser.

In the bottom right corner, there is a wooden chair with armrests and a
cushioned seat with a patterned fabric. There are clothes draped over the back
of the chair.

In the bottom center of the picture, there is a dog lying on a gray mat. The
dog is light-colored, possibly a Labrador or a similar breed. Next to the dog,
there is an orange toy.
The room appears to be well-lit with natural light coming from the window.

All of the above is spot on including the fact that I do have a yellow, almost
white labrador guide dog.
The only "incorrect" description is the small TV, it is in fact my open laptop
on top of the dresser. But I was holding the phone at about hip height when I
was lying on my bed and the dresser is a bit higher, only the screen would be
visible and not the keyboard.

Announcing Be My AI with a screenshot of the app demonstrating Be My AI's
describing capabilities
Hi dennis,

We are thrilled to announce that Be My AI will soon be available to hundreds of
thousands of Be My Eyes users on iOS devices worldwide!

Thanks to the tremendous work of over 19,000 beta testers and the team at Be My
Eyes, we’re moving to an open beta phase and releasing Be My AI to our
iPhone users starting this week. Over the next few weeks we will be adding more
and more users every day, so that soon everyone using an iOS device will
have direct access to our new AI-powered feature. Make sure to keep your app
updated.

While using Be My AI is not intended to replace a white cane or a guide dog,
using it in your everyday life is powerful, quick and simple. Once you have
access, open the Be My Eyes app, click on the ‘Be My AI’ tab, and take a
picture of just about anything. Be My AI will give you a detailed description
of it, and you can chat and ask further questions to get more information. Be
My AI is available now in any of 19 languages, with more to come.

And don’t worry - if Be My AI can’t answer all your questions, if you want to
check its results, or if you just need a little more assistance than Be My
AI can provide, you still can easily reach one of our dedicated volunteers,
just like before.

You can
learn more about Be My AI and how to use it in our new blog post
or by visiting the
Help Center
on our website.

This global release of Be My AI into an open beta test means that hundreds of
thousands of people will now be able to experience this exciting new tool.
Make sure to share the news with your friends, family and colleagues!

Right now we’ll only be releasing Be My AI with users who use iOS devices. But
Android users fear not. We are currently in a closed beta test of Be My
AI on Android devices, and we hope to make it more broadly available for open
beta testing in the coming months. If you are interested in joining the Android
beta test, you can already
sign up for the Android waitlist
in the Be My Eyes app.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at
supp...@bemyeyes.com<mailto:supp...@bemyeyes.com>.

And happy exploring!

P.S: Do you know another blind or low-vision person who can benefit from this
new feature? Make sure to forward this email to them and invite them to try out
Be My AI on the Be My Eyes app!
Thank you!

Mike, CEO of Be My Eyes
