Zoom is more or less straight forward unless it needs updating. That is a royal pain. I always make sure to run Zoom a good while before any meetings in case it needs updating.
But, if you have it updated and click on a link provided, you will be asked to select your connection preference which works best with Wi-Fi and whatever it says, rather than the dial up. The sound is much better too. If you are on Windows, alt+a toggles your microphone audio on and off. Alt+v toggles your Video camera on and off. If on a Mac, it is Command+a and Command+v. To end a meeting, I usually tab to the leave button, but I believe alt+q and Command+q are the hotkeys but I'd double check that. Hopefully they will do the same this year. I have not had much experience with Zoom. I tried to use the dial in feature rather than trying to log in on my laptop. I couldn't seem to enter the meeting ID in quickly enough, and I kept getting cut off. Then, when I tried using the link from the Zoom message on my laptop, I had a message that I needed to update Zoom. By that time they were almost a half hour into the class, so I just quit there.
