Hi Mark, I don't know if you yourself are using the beta of iOS17, but I just updated it yesterday to 17.1 Beta 3, the most current release. This release apparently is supposed to have fixed much of the issues with iPhone 15 models heating up. I'm running the beta software on my iPhone 14ProMax. I'll look at the iPhone 15 or iPhone 16 models within the next year or so.
I will say though, the beta for me has performed exceptionally well on my iPhone 14ProMax. This may be off the subject of this thread, but I have to say the newest update to the Facebook app has done away with something that has been an annoyance for me for forever... When in the notifications tab on the FB app and swiping through the notifications, there was always a "notification options" button which you had to swipe past in order to go to the next notification. Now I am ecstatic to report that's no longer an annoyance for me!!!
