iCloud is provided with your Apple device, phone, iPad, or Mac computer. You get a certain amount of free space which is mostly used for backing up your phone and or photos, messages, etc. If you end up getting low on space, you can pay for extra iCloud storage. I believe it is 99¢ per month for an extra 50 gigabytes. I think you get 5 Gigabytes free. So if you don’t back up a lot of music and photos, or Videos you probably would not need the extra space.
