I can’t say why they are in Mono. But I can say I had issues with my M1 MacBook Pro and the Air Pod Pro 2 USB C edition. I’m using them just fine on the 14 Pro Max but I am no longer using them with the Mac. Audio kept losing voiceover and I would have to shut the Mac down to get it back. Merv
