I've never been someone who journaled. If you want to go back and write about something in the past, you will have a ton of swiping to do. Just as an experiment, I wanted to note something from May 25, 1990. Well, if you select custom date, you can scroll back by year, and then by month; but it will assume the day is the same day as today. To specify a specific date in the past, you have to use the default date format and so scroll back by month/year. Once you get to the month and year you want, there is a month calendar where you can pick a specific date. Tedious at best since you cannot simply enter a date.
