And one more thing regarding international calls, you probably want to check with your carrier what the rate is because otherwise you may get a nasty surprise when you get your bill. I never use my regular carrier/provider for international calls, there are plenty of apps with Skype probably being one of the best known which allow you to buy a few Dollars of credit and use that for inexpensive international calls.
