Has StarplayrX been removed from the app store? I typed the name into the
search field exactly as it is written in this field, and it said "no results".

Hi,
According to Apple, Voiceover users can use the haptic time feature by tapping
the screen of the apple Watch twice with one finger to get the time in hours
and minutes and tap three times if you know the hour and only want minutes
indicated.
The prerequesit is that the Apple Watch screen is off/asleep.
In a recent discussion it seems many people say for them this works only
reliably if you tap the screen 3 times for hours and minutes and 4 times for
minutes.
I found with my Apple Watch series 5 40mm that haptic time rarely worked.
I now have an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I discovered the following which probably
applies also to my series 5, but I haven't checked it yet although I still have
the series 5 because I'm a bit of a prograstinater when it comes to selling
stuff.
Here is what I discovered:
I have a daily "sleep" focus set which starts at 10:30 PM and it stops at 7 AM.
I found that if it is past 10:30 PM, e.g. the sleep focus is active, a 1-finger
double tap does nothing except it wakes up the display, but a 3-finger tap
starts hours and minutes in haptic time and a quadruple tap does just the
minutes.
However, during the day, e.g. after 7 AM and before 10:30 PM when the sleep
focus is not active, the double tap Apple says one should use works just fine
and the triple tap gives me just minutes even though when the sleep focus is
active it will give me hours and minutes.
I just wrote Apple Accessibility a message regarding this because I assume this
is a bug, but not sure until they reply.
What I don't understand is that why we can't use the regular gesture for haptic
time. Yes, haptic time is not actually an accessibility feature, it is
available to all Apple Watch users in Settings > Clock as long as you said
"Speak Time" to "Control with silent mode" instead of "Always".
According to the article, if you don't use Voiceover you simply rest 2 fingers
on the screen for a moment to get haptic time.

Interesting. I'm not sure anyone other than myself has said they use three and
four taps for haptic time. This works for me even when I don't have sleep mode
on. Maybe there's another setting I have set somewhere that explains this. I do
have sleep when wrist down is set to on, so maybe that explains it. My watch
has also worked this way through multiple
watchOS updates. I'll be interested to hear about the response you get from
Apple. I have something that works pretty reliably for me.

For some time now I have been using Siri voice3 British dialect with my iPhone
15 Pro Max.
For some reason it keeps losing the voice and reverting to Daniel. This has
been happening when the device is on its wireless charger over night.
If I want to restore the voice it is necessary to redownload it in the morning.
Sadly this issue persists in the latest beta.
It used to occurs on my Apple Watch too but this is no longer the case.
I wonder how many people will remember the song, Does Your Chewing Gum Lose
It's Flavour (On the Bedpost Overnight? Lonnie Donegan. Well perhaps we could
now sing: Does your iPhone lose its voices on the charger overnight?
Any thoughts welcome.

I'm really bad about knowing the types of cables and adapters, but I need to
know what to get for my iPhone 14 Plus and my iPhone 15 Pro. I am currently
using whatever cable and adapter came with my iPhone 7 or something like that
to charge the battery, And I purchased some kind of an adapter from the Apple
Store to be able to use the earbuds with my current iPhone 12 mini and 13 mini.
I guess I can't use just one cable and adapter and use them interchangeably to
charge both phones anymore, and I guess I may have to get two separate wired
earpods from Apple as well? Any help on what I need for charging the battery
and using wired earpods for the 14 Plus and the 15 Pro would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It's very simple, any iPhone prior to the 15 series which were released 3
months ago uses a Lightning connector and the iPhone 15/15 Pro and it's
variations uses USB-C port.
Lightning is a proprietary Apple connector, USB-C is an industry standard which
is basically what most manufacturers nowadays use including Apple.
Both Lightning and USB-C are fairly small and can be plugged in either way,
e.g. it does not matter which way you turn the cable.
The older USB-A which are the larger plugs you find on most computers as well
as Micro USB can only go in one way and then there was Mini USB which is hardly
around any more and never caught on much (thank goodness).

When it comes to wall adapters you only would need a single one nowadays for an
iPhone 14/14 Pro and 15/15 Pro and it has to be supporting USB-C and it should
have at least 20 Watt. Ideally you would have one from a company like from
Anker, Ugreen or others which has 2 or 3 ports, some even come with 2 USB-C and
one of the older/larger USB-A ports.
Even most new laptops nowadays use a USB-C port on the device to charge which
means no more proprietary chargers are required, just a USB-C wall adapater
which puts out at least 65 Watts and a USB-C cable.
The other nice thing is that devices only take whatever power they can handle.
So, you can have a 100 Watt USB-C wall adapter and a cable which can handle
that much and you can charge your laptop with it, but you can also use the same
adapter and cable to charge your iPhone which can take a max. of 15 Watts or
even a headset which may only require 5 Watts.
The only silly thing is that not all USB-C cables can handle the high amounts,
e.g. you may have a USB-C cable which you can use to charge your iPhone, but it
may not handle 65 or 100 Watts to charge a laptop.

When it comes to cables, just make sure that you have at least one or more
USB-C to USB-C cable which means each end should have a male USB-C port).
This will plug into your wall charger as well as into any USB-C device like the
iPhone 15/15 Pro and many headsets, keyboards, external speakers, batteries etc.
You then also want to make sure you have at least one cable with a USB-C plug
on one side and a Lightning plug on the other, this will plug into your wall
adapter and allow you to connect an iPhone 14/14 Pro or older.
If you have Micro USB devices like maybe a headset, speaker or wireless
keyboard, you can look on Amazon for a USB-C to Micro USB cable or you can get
small adapters which plug into the end of a USB-C cable and then have a male
Micro USB port.

As for headsets you will either require both a Lightning as well as USB-C
headset or you have to get an adapter which even Apple makes (expensive) or you
can find it on Amazon (much cheaper), here is ithe Apple version from Amazon

Apple USB-C to Lightning
adapter<https://www.amazon.ca/Apple-USB-C-to-Lightning-Adapter/dp/B0CHX5RZ8M/ref=sr_1_6?crid=36238WTT33ZSY&keywords=USB-C+female+to+Lightning+adapter&qid=1702707653&sprefix=usb-c+female+to+lightning+adapter%2Caps%2C178&sr=8-6>

This has a female Lightning end so it would plug into a Lightning headset like
a set of Earpods with Lightning port and on the other end is a mal USB-C port
which can then plug into an iPhone 15/15 Pro or a USB-C wall adapter.

I honestly can't wait until finally every new device being released whether
headset, speaker, keyboard or other is USB-C and I will rarely buy any new
device nowadays uness it has a USB-C port. Not only is it so much easier to
plug it in since you don't have to worry about having the cable the right way
around, it also allows for fast charging, fast data transfers if applicaple and
in the long run it will prevent thousands of tons of e-Garbage ending up in
landfills because now suddenly you have to have just a single wall charger and
a few cables to charge all your devices.

Subject: connecting my iPhone 14 Plus and my iPhone 15 Pro

Thanks.

And I am just curious, but why do you have two high-end iPhones? Like I say, I
mean no offense, just want to know because I assume it means having two phone
plans and even if you had one which is only $40 or so a months, that is still
almost $500 a year. I have had an iphone for almost 15 years and I run a
business as well as using it constantly for personal stuff and I have never
felt the need for two devices. My wife and I have an iPad and even though my
wife is sighted, it often sits there with an empty battery because we almost
never use it and forget to charge it.

Thanks for all the info and no offense taken. I use the phone for all of my
internet type needs, including surfing the web, email, and watching TV. And
although this may change with the new phones, the two iPhone mini phones I
have right now, neither of them can make it through a full day without having
to be charged. And too, should something happen with one of the phones, I would
still have a way to contact someone with the other one. I wanted to stay with
AT&T and get internet service with them, but they only offered in my area a
router or something that used cellular data with a limit of 50 GB, anyway, so I
just opted for the second line instead. My billing period starts on the 27th of
each month, and I just checked the cellular data usage on each phone, as I
reset every month right at the beginning of the billing period, and one phone
has used 24.1 GB while the other has used 24.7 GB so far.

I use Microsoft-365, windows-10 on my desktop as my primary email program. I
only use my iPhone on occasion, mostly when I go out of my house. I recently
had to switch my Outlook-365 Verizon account from POP to IMAP. This means
that, unfortunately, my emails are no longer deleted from the server after I
download them on my desktop, so they come into my phone, too. It also seems
to mean that when I delete an email on my phone or desktop, it's also
somehow deleted from the other device. I emphatically do not want that. How
do I prevent this from happening?
Thanks John Riehl

I do not know that you can prevent that when using Exchange or iMap.

I think I would call either, or both, Microsoft or Apple to see if they have
knowledge of a setting to do what you want.

Replying for what I think will be the final time to my own message. I actually
did just get both of my Walmart gift cards, so I don't have to fight with
Walmart again this year, yay! I did have to wait almost the full 20 days from
when the phones were shipped to get the cards, but it was certainly worth it in
the end. I didn't actually have to activate the phones since I ordered online,
but I of course did have to enter into the installment agreement with my phone
carrier to get the cards. I still have the new phones in their shipping boxes
right now, in fact, as I am waiting for the batteries on the 12 mini and 13
mini to get below 80% before I start using the new phones.
