Wow! I certainly didn’t get an email like that. You would no longer be able to download anything? So you have the app on your machine and it becomes useless to download from a book share? OK. That kind of stinks like maybe they should let you keep your current app and it should still work, but no more upgrades? If they’re all proud of their great upgrades that are so useful, they should be doing things that people are willing to pay for. I don’t remember any recent upgrades that have been all that special. Bug fixes that are incomplete to say the least. My iPhone is once again not downloading stuff that comes to my iPad. So I don’t think these developers are in Winston‘s league. But, if anyone wants to go back and look at what Winston Chen had said when he sold Voice Dream LLC., he made it clear that he would have had to begin charging a subscription to be able to maintain development and he had already started the Mac version as a subscription. $59 a year seems perfectly reasonable to me if you want the app to continue.
