I wrote them again, to find out whether it will be a completely new app, or an upgrade of the current version. They wrote back and said it will be an upgrade of the current version. So when we get updates to the current version, hopefully they will say that the subscription is necessary, rather than not mentioning it until it is too late, either you get that subscription or you are, well, stuck. I asked if we could still use the current version after May 1, and if so, what wouldn't work any more after May 1. They did not answer this. At this point, I probably will upgrade, at least for a year. Maybe I should go ahead and do it just to see what happens. I haven't hit that Apple Pay button yet, though. My current version is 4.30.0.
