Hi Terri. First, congrats on your studies. I think you will find Chat GPT helpful with research. You can type questions and get quite accurate results. I found that it is pretty good with describing images, although if I run an image through it a second and third time, i might get some different results. Sometimes it adds details, sometimes it seems to be describing a whole different picture. The best way to master academic writing is to practice it and get feedback. In every school these days, there are writing centers and you should be able to get some feedback from teaching assistants. It's not as hard as you think. You just need to get used to it.
