Hi, as Sonos promised, an update of the new Sonos app which was released two
weeks ago came out today. I decided to update and I am happy to say that while
not perfect, the app is now definitely very usable with Voiceover. Exploring by
touch again lets you find stuff and swiping is much more efficient. There are
still places where a certain item has two or three different labels/icons you
can click on with the same result, but while I haven't spend more than 10 or 15
minutes with the app, I can now say it's not a complete disaster any more.
There was, by the way, also an update of the firmware today which I assume has
to do with the announcement of the new headset. One thing I have not yet
figured out and it may simply not yet be possible is how to rearrange one's
home screen. According to the app tour you can arrange what you want to see on
yoru home screen and in which order, e.g. Recently Added, Albums, Artists etc.
Sounds like this is a drag and drop sort of thing and I may have to ask one of
my sighted employees to figure it out and then see if it can be done, but after
going into "Edit", doing a double tap and hold does not seem to work. There is
a remove button on the left of all the items which are showing, but not the
typical reorder button one finds in other iOS apps.
Let's hope Sonos will keep their promise and continue with more Voiceover
improvements to bring accessibility up to par with the old app by the end of
June. If this wasn't such a busy time for me work wise I'd probably ask to be
back in the beta program, but hopefully there are a few other blind users who
do have time and can do this.

Best regards,
Sieghard
