Nope.
Apparently only the A17 chip will be able to take advantage of Apple
Intelligence. I believe yours has the A16 chip.
As Sieghard mentioned, with the 14 and 15 they give the non-pro models the
previous phone’s chip. So the 14 and 14 plus have the same chip as the 13 pro
and pro max, the 14 pro and pro max had the newest chip, then the 15 and 15
plus have the same A16 chip as the 14 pro and pro max, and the 15 pro and pro
max got the new A17.
So, logically, Apple will give the 16 and 16 plus the A17 and the 16 pro and
pro max the A18…
This is called by some, like me, planned obsolescence.
Most companies practice this, so it isn’t just Apple.

Actually Apple Intelligence will only be available on phones with the A17 or
newer processor which means the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max as well as
probably all this year's iPhone 16 models.
Starting with the iPhone 14 series phones Apple differentiated the regular
iPhone and iPhone Plus from the Pro and Pro Max by only giving the Pro phones
the latest processor and the regular phones had the processor from the year
before. Therefore, the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus have the same processor as the
iPhone 13 series phones, the A15. Only the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max received
the A16 Bionic processor in 2022. Then in 2023 when the iPhone 15/15 Plus and
15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were released, the 15 and 15 Plus received the A16 Bionic
from 2022 and the same as in iPhone 14 Pro/Pro Max. Only the 15 Pro and Pro Max
received the new A17 Bionic chip released last year and it is that chip which
seems to be the minimum requirement for Apple Intelligence. This year the
regular iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will get the A17 Bionic from last year and I
assume that these phones will therefore meet the minimum requirements for Apple
Intelligence. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max if that is what they will be called
will get the latest A18 chip.
I assume Apple will want as many people to have access to Apple Intelligence
and I therefore don't think they would consider making it available only on Pro
phones and nothing was said about it during the presentation either. My 2-year
contract for my 13 Pro will be up I think in late November and I may just have
to upgrade in order to get access to Apple Intelligence and all it can do and
all the new Siri with Chat GPT integration can do. Normally I would have
probably kept my iPhone 13 Pro for another year, but this all sounds just too
cool and useful to pass it up.

Well, I got an email from Apple today and it looks like all the AI stuff is
gonna be on all of the iPhone 15 models, not series 14. So I for one won’t be
getting any major update as far as seeing anything with AI as to my knowledge

We all know what Siri is like right now, but with full AI integration I have
a feeling we may all be surprised how amazing it may end up being; of course
from the little I heard this will not be one of these on/off moments where as
soon as iOs 18 is released in September it will include all of what it will
have a year from now and after the main .1, .2 and .3 updates which typically
happen in Late October, before Christmas or in the new year and again in early
March. And then of course it is my understanding that the true Apple
Intelligence will require at least an iPhone 15 Pro or later so for many of us
it may be years before we experience it all and by then of course even more
powerful hardware and advances in AI will even add more functionality. One
thing I am sure of is that in the next years we'll see a lot of cool stuff
around all the AI development and we'll benefit greatly from it.

I literally asked Siri this morning what time was the WWDC keynote and I got
one of those generic “”this is what I found on the web.”
Whatever they do or don’t’ do with Siri, it can’t be as bad as it is X years
