I did flick down while on a message & selected copy. I then went to a blank text message edit field but the rotor did not have a paste option. There was a text selection option but no paste there either. I know this is a pretty basic thing but once I select copy on a message & go to a blank message to someone else, how do I paste it there. I did try the 3 finger quadruple tap & that seemed to work except for the link. It only copies individual messages in a conversation, however. Have you tried, for example, in the Messages app or Mail app or in Notes? Open a new Note and write something, then turn the rotor and I am pretty sure you would find text selection.
