Hi Linda, I play the Klondike Deal 1 cards solitaire game. It has gotten trickier with direct touch, but I can still play it. I am not familiar with the Spider game, so I haven't tried that one.
What is the issue you have when you get into the spider game? Does it just say direct touch no matter where you touch on the screen? If that is the case, try going into the rotor options under accessibility, voiceover, and making sure that the game is selected under the "direct touch apps" button.
