Have you tried, my personal least favorite feature, Screen Recognition? It is actually a great feature when the developer hasn't made the app accessible from the get-go, and Screen Recognition actually identifies buttons and such that VoiceOver doesn't; but if Screen Recognition is on and you are not aware of it, it can cause no end of frustration.
IN this case, it might be worth toggling it on. If you ahven't messed with it, add it to the rotor items so you can easily toggle it on or off. HTH, Richard, USA "INTROVERTS UNITE ...
