When you're in your list of messages, you can flick up once to delete and
double tap. When you're in a message itself, you can flick down once to trash
and double tap or use the delete button in the bottom left hand corner.

If you come up in your list of folders then double tap on inbox to get into the
list of messages in your inbox. If you have multiple accounts then you'll have
an all inboxes option which merges the inboxes from your different accounts. To
get back to your list of folders tap the button at thetop. The Mail app will
take you into the last view you were in when you shutdown the app.

Subject: Back to Basics

for the past few years I have been using mail apps other than the native Appple
app. I decided to go back to the "Apple app. I re-downloaded it yesterday. I
realize that either I have forgotten some things, or there have been changes. I
have two questions for now.\

  1. How do you delete messages? One friend says she swipes up once for
delete. That does not work on my phone.
  2. Where is my in box? Sometimes it is there when I open the app and at
other times I am taken to a list of the folders in mail and I cannot find the
in vox.
Thanks for any help.
