I think you are mixing up Wi-Fi and internet speeds. 200 Mbps sounds to me like the speed of your internet connection because even Wi-fi 5 allows devices to transmit data over the 5 GHz wireless frequency band at theoretical speeds of up to 3.5 Gbps. That of course is theoretical as it says, realistic is 1 Gbps or a bit more and maybe a bit less if you are far away from your router. If you had Wi-Fi 6 that would go up, 6E it would go up even more and Wi-Fi 7 of course even much more, but then again hardly anybody has Wi-Fi 7 yet and only this year's iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have a Wi-Fi 7 modem and then of course you would need an appropriate Wi-Fi 7 router.
How are you planning to send your playlist to your iPhone? If it's a playlist you have on Apple Music and you want to "download" it then of course your internet speed would be the determining factor, otherwise you may have your playlist and songs on a computer in iTunes in which case you typically connect your iPhone with a cable although iTunes can connect to your iPhone via Wi-Fi, but while it's been quite a long time since I tried this, it was vwery slow that way. If it's on Apple Music which means in the cloud on Apple's servers and you want to download it. According to a search I just did, approx. 1 Gb is needed for 250 songs which in turn means 2,000 songs in normal M4A format will take up approx. 8 Gb. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Joshua Hendrickson Sent: Friday, August 30, 2024 8:04 PM To: [email protected] Subject: How long would it take to download music to an iPhone?
