I have TuneIn Pro with premium and love it. I got it on one of those offers that were too good to pass up. The smart speakers I have are Sonos and A couple Echos but Sonos also can use Alexa. You can connect your TuneIn Pro/premium account to Alexa and in Sonos, it refers to NuneIn New as I think it takes at least TuneIn premium to work with Sonos. I have not dealt with the free TuneIn for so long, I cannot comment on that. I really like it for a lot of things. Each person needs to decide on what suits them. HTH,
