There is no big rush since the new iPhone SE will not be released until the Spring. In any case, I'd take an iPhone SE 4th Gen with Face Id over a 3rd Gen with Touch Id any day because the new iPhone will be multiple generations more advanced with the processor and support Apple Intelligence. The 3rd Generation iPhone has the same processor as an iPhone 13 and while it will still get iOS updates for several more years, Touch Id is a thing of the past so whether you get Face Id now or in a few years, it really doesn't matter, at least that is my opinion. I actually wouldn't go back to Touch Id if you gave me a free phone and $100 cash.
