I still find that a little bit hit and miss, it’s annoying that after so many years Ring is not paying more attention to accessibility. For example, if I open my Ring Doorbell or my other camera, Voiceover speech goes to the earpiece like in a phone call unless I use a headset. Also, while I haven’t answered somebody actually ringing the doorbell for quite some time, the last time I did so from the notification and I am pretty sure I still have to tap the microphone button before I could actually speak with them. Of course if Voiceover disappears to the earpiece there is no way you can hear it and do anything if you are even in a slightly noisy environment. Answering a doorbell ring should be no different or more difficult than answering a phone call, you get a notification, you tap on it and you should be able to talk without any further intervention.
