Here in Canada we don’t have Publix. I order from Costco and Walmart all the time. I have a Costco membership but even if I didn’t I could still order from Costco through Instacart but the cost would be considerably higher. To answer your question about replacement items and time of arrival, you get notified through both the Instacart app and text message if the shopper isn’t able to find an item you ordered, and you are given the option to accept or reject the replacement. You are also notified when the shopper has checked out, when the order is on it’s way and when it arrives. They ring my apartment and bring my items right in and place them where I want them. I’ve even had shoppers offer to help me put stuff away but of course I don’t require that level of assistance. I have been living on my own again now for just under a year after moving out of a long term relationship. I don’t know how I’d manage to get my groceries without Instacart. Sure it’s a bit more expensive but the fact I can place an order and get it within a couple of hours is worth the cost.
