Here in Canada we don’t have Publix. I order from Costco and Walmart all the 
time. I have a Costco membership but even if I didn’t I could still order from 
Costco through Instacart but the cost would be considerably higher. To answer 
your question about replacement items and time of arrival, you get notified 
through both the Instacart app and text message if the shopper isn’t able to 
find an item you ordered, and you are given the option to accept or reject the 
replacement. You are also notified when the shopper has checked out, when the 
order is on it’s way and when it arrives. They ring my apartment and bring my 
items right in and place them where I want them. I’ve even had shoppers offer 
to help me put stuff away but of course I don’t require that level of 
assistance. I have been living on my own again now for just under a year after 
moving out of a long term relationship. I don’t know how I’d manage to get my 
groceries without Instacart. Sure it’s a bit more expensive but the fact I can 
place an order and get it within a couple of hours is worth the cost.

Yes I use Instacart with Publix. Publix and Instacart memberships are not 
related.

I pay annual fee for Instacart and purchase through Publix on the Instacart app.

If so, how does all this work? If there’s a Publix membership is it like 
Walmart where if it’s still delivered from the store if you’re below order 
minimum fee, they charge you for not having enough items? Also, is there a 
membership fee and if so, is it annually or monthly? Also, are you notified if 
items weren’t in stock and when the people are on the way for delivering? Any 
other questions I can’t think of please put them in the email. As I’m so tired 
of Walmart I’m thinking about canceling my membership. I almost did have it 
canceled a few minutes ago, however, I decided to do more inquiring first. And 
again, I explained everything that all of us are facing, and I told her exactly 
how I felt and all the Blind community feels, and how many have called and 
there Walmart is gonna lose millions and millions of customers.
