I don't blame you at all if they didn't work for you. I tried for at least a couple hours before I could finally get the app or whatever to tell me that I was using the correct ear tips. And by that time, I didn't even know if I was using two of the same size tip for each ear. And even then, the next time I turned on the AirPods, I was once again told they didn't fit. But no matter, as they made my ears start feeling funny after an hour or so, and I needed to use some eardrops to get things fixed back right again. I don't regret trying them at all, as my financial situation is such that I can give things to a family member when I want if they don't work for me. And I happen to know that my brother got some AirPods on the last Prime day, actually I think his wife got them for him, but they were regretting that she didn't have a pair as well, so I can now solve that problem, and I have already purchased some new ear tips from Apple, just in case they don't want the ones that have been in my ears. Now, it's just a matter of whether I give them to them right away, or whether I manage to hold out until Apple releases the update and I can try the hearing test first.
