You can set your phone to alert you for rain or snow. I think that came up on mine with this last update. Mine says home, when I'm at home, in Moncure, but Pittsboro or Sanford or Raleigh, whenever I'm there.

I would appreciate information on accessibility of other features of Weather I haven’t thought of. I am bringing this up as my older sighted sister was concerned that as a totally blind person I might not be able to appreciate fully the weather situation such as the size and strength of the recent storm, s I can’t see the satellite image or weather map, being a total. She was particularly concerned I might not be aware of rising flood waters, even though sighted people have trouble perceiving flooding correctly as well. It happens I have a keen sense of weather. She may have forgotten that when I had functional low vision as a teen, our father took me to visit the local National Weather Service radar station. We happened o have one in the small Illinois town where I grew up. Sorry for that rant, but I would like some thought on the app. One toy we now have is in version 18 we can now get wind direction in degrees of heading as well as cardinal compass directions. You can mark locations likehome and work in the maps app wich I suspect is what has happened. I have the Weather app set to show the weather for my current location so that it finds out where I am when I use the app. Alternatively, you can set things so that it shows weather for a specific location regardless of where you happen to be. I have a number of locations in my list in the Weather app so that I can find out what it's like even if I'm not there.
