Yes, action and camera buttons are on all iPhone 16 models. If it weren't for LiDAR still being a Pro feature, I'd have bought a regular iPhone 16 and saved myself a couple of hundred Dollars because the difference in the processor is probably not something you notice a lot day-to-day and for us having 5x optical vs. 3x optical zoom is also not a big deal. Both regular and Pro iPhone 16 models all have 8 Gb of RAM and the difference with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 was a lot more between regular and Pro. I am always amazed by how relatively little difference I find there is when I upgrade. I had an iPhone 13 Pro for 2 years and while the battery life on the iPhone 16 Pro of course is much better, the every-day stuff like opening various apps and doing stuff is really not huge. There is the Apple Intelligence stuff which is the primary reason why I upgraded and I find already running the iO/s 18.1 Beta is significantly better with respect to Siri. This morning I asked Siri to call somebody and I guess I spoke a bit too fast and Siri only heard the name and not the "Call" part so Siri asked "What would you like to know about John Smith" (just using that as an example). I said "I want to call him" and Siri then said that I had 4 numbers and which one to use, it started speaking them, e.g. Work 555-555-5555, mobile and so on and I just interrupted her by saying Siri, use the mobile number" and it did it without missing a beat; that never worked prior to this.

So, new as of this year. Audio Ducking now has three settings: off, always, or while speaking. When set to always or while speaking it lowers the volume of media/audioBooks, etc., to make it easier to hear VO. The new relationship between volume and audio ducking is that if audio ducking is on, then you can set the volume above 100%. However much above 100% you set the volume, the other media will be lowered proportionally. You can set the volume up to 199% at which the other media is almost silent. It is much appreciated. I had no idea that there was a dedicated camera button, until you pointed this out. So, now that I know this, I will be using this all the time. Is this a new thing with the pro iphones? Or, has it been around? Also, I have heard of the audio ducking. I didn't know though that it could affect voiceover. I guess I am not all that familiar with it, if I am honest. How should the volume be set for the audio ducking with voiceover? As far as the microphone situation, it isn't a problem, really. Just more something I noticed. It shows in my status bar area. Thank you again for your help. The Action button its called, can be used for only one thing at a time. However, you apparently can set it to activate a shortcut and shortcuts can be programmed to do more than one thing, but I personally will just use it for silencing the ringer. Also, how can I set it up to where I have an easy way to access my camera, and take photos? Have you tried out the Camera button on the right side of the phone that is less than an inch below the power button? Press it once to open the camera and press it again to take a picture. If you use Be My Eyes, you press it once to capture a photo for Be MY AI to describe. My microphone always seems to be in use. This wasn't the case before. Is this a new thing? Exactly when are you running into this? I have seen it a time or two, but it didn't really do anything to get in my way. I've also noticed that the volume of the Voiceover voice is always lowering. It seems to happen quite a bit. Especially when switching apps. Check both your audio ducking and volume settings. Do you know about the new combination of those two? I love it! I never thought that I would want a pro of any sort. However, I want all the new AI features that are likely to come out, soon. So, I am glad that I broke down, and gave a pro iPhone a try. I will likely never go back now. I was wondering a couple of things though. First of all, can the button you can use to silence the phone, be used for more than one thing? If so, then how? Right now, I use it to silence my phone, because this feature can really come in handy for me. Also, how can I set it up to where I have an easy way to access my camera, and take photos? Now with all of these new Apps, and AI features, I find myself taking a lot more photos. So, I would like a quicker way to be able to do this, if at all possible. One last thing. My microphone always seems to be in use. This wasn't the case before. Is this a new thing? I've also noticed that the volume of the Voiceover voice is always lowering. It seems to happen quite a bit. Especially when switching Apps. Or leaving an App. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a way to stop this from happening? Any thoughts, or suggestions are appreciated.
