I appreciate you getting back to the list with your answer but it's a
pity one can't really hear the pronnounciation though.
The only way I have found is to continually press replay which is a bit
irritating I know but better than nothing I guess.

I believe that accessibility has gone down in Duo Lingo. I don’t remember what
I did a few years back, but I don’t remember this over speaking being the app
being as bad. I picked up DuoLingo again last week, and had trouble with this
and also with the non-latin characters in the language I was using being shown
has hex codes. Sometime in 2018 or 2019 Duo Lingo had fixed this issue and now
it is back!
