Just curious, which iPhone are you using and what version of iOS? I use Uber Eats; went away from Grub Hub some years back due to access issues.
If you are at checkout, there should be an add item button which will take you back to the menu selections. Sometimes the add to cart button will not work if you need to customize something such as a drink or combo meal size. Each restaurant is a bit different. I have also had pretty good success with Instacart for groceries and some other shopping, though I have to remind shoppers I cannot see the pictures when they ask about replacements. Hope that gets you started with some ideas to try. It will be helpful to know specifically what issue you are having exactly.
