Yeah, with the Force Quit, they are saying do, what I thought was called a hard boot. With it, I thought that the phone comes up automatically, but probably the pass code has to be entered like with a Shut Down.

It means what we sometimes call ressetting it, namely, press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then hold the side button in for about ten seconds, or if you can see it, until the apple logo appears on the screen. I thought this is what they meant by force quit, I had to make sure.
