Hi,

Not sure if people just quietly noticed this and are finally enjoying being
able to pick up aRing video doorbell press like a phone call or if many have
not yet seen this, but a few weeks ago Ring added this and for me at least it's
really a welcome new feature.
To access this, tap on your Ring Video Doorbell, then tap on Settings at the
top right of the screen, then Device Settings and finally Notification Settings.
Now you have the following:
Rich notifications
Priority Alerts
Doorbell Call, get a call when visitors ring this doorbell, button
Obviously this last item is what you want, tap on it and swipe until you hear
"Doorbell call, Off" then tap this to turn it on.
Now if somebody presses the button on your doorbell it is truly like getting a
call, your phone rings and you can answer it with a 2-finger double tap or by
pressing your headset button, same as answering any phone call. Once you accept
the call you may of course experience a short delay as the connection is
established and how good the quality of the 2-way call is will depend a lot on
how good your Wi-Fi and internet connection are both in terms of speed and
signal lag and also if your doorbell has a very good connection to your Wi-Fi.
But at least finally I can answer a doorbell event just like any other phone
call instead of having to tap the notification, hope my iPhone unlocks quickly
with Face Id and then having to accept the call once the Ring app opens.
