Are you still on iOS 17? In iOS 18 at the top right should be "More" and just beside it to the left and in between the "Back" and "More" buttons is now "Select" and that is what used to be the "Edit" button in iOS 17 unless in early versions of iOS 18 it was still there, I can't remember when the Categories were introduced. Once you tap on select you can then select multiple emails by double tapping on them or tap on "Select All" at the top left to select all messages in whatever mailbox you are in I should mention that the "More" button is only there in the Inbox, if you go to sent or trash, the select button is at the top right and "back" and "select" are the only two buttons at the very top. There is also a small bug which you find if you tap the "select all" button. Normally once you do and all messages are selected, it should turn into "Unselect All", but currently it continues to say "Select All" even when you tap the button and have all messages selected.
