| It may well be that those are the only choices they give you in the table of contents. So if you double tap on beginning of book, what should happen is the book opens to the beginning. Then you do a two finger swipe down and it starts reading. And it keeps reading until you stop it by touching the screen. In other words, don’t mess with trying to turn pages, because you don’t have to. The reading just keeps on happening. In books that are well marked up with a table of contents, you can double tap on the table of contents, then flick down through all the chapters or let’s say it’s a cookbook, maybe recipes, and find the one you want and double tap on it. It opens and there you go. Mary Sent from my iPhone Hi, I have used the kindle app on my iPhone for a number of years, but haven't used it recently. Last night I purchased a kindle book and when i go into the kindle app and open the book, I am struggling to navigate the book.
I double-tap the screen and see the table of contents button but when I tap it all I get is "book cover" and "begin selected". Performing a three-finger left/right swipe I think is switching pages but things just aren't reading right.
I realize it could be the actual book that is the problem not the app, but I wonder if there are some simple things I am missing to get this to work.

If you already have an iPhone, there’s no reason to spend the money on something like a Kindle fire, which is also accessible with that screen reader, although I personally don’t like the experience all that much. So if your iPhone is working for you, just get the app and use it and never mind giving Amazon any more of your money for a very substandard tablet.
