I believe there are several thermostats that work with the Total Connect Comfort app, which does just that. We have a Honeywell thermostat we got at least 9 years ago and the app is completely accessible. So, whomever you get the thermostat from, make sure it works with the Total connect Comfort app, and there may be other apps/thermostats but this is the one I know. The app will show up on the phone as TCC. You can download the app and check it out. It has a demo mode that makes it look like you are adjusting a real thermostat.
