I like my 16E, and it fits well in my hand. Carolyn Arnold

You do need to voice train Siri so if you missed this step, perhaps that is where your problem lies. Until this new phone, I have always had a home button so my current difficulty is learning the gesture to reach the home screen and the app switcher. I am also going to go through th Voiceover tutorial in Settings as it seems to be that Voiceover has some new features which sound very exciting. I got a 16E last week and after transferring everything from my SE 2nd gen it looks and works just like the SE. I have no problems like you are experiencing at all. I do miss the home button but am already getting very used to the gestures instead. It sure works much snappier than the SE did. Good luck. I'm still trying to work with getting Apple Intelligence on. The lady at Verizon is going to help me tomorrow. Even my sighted son can't get Hay Siri on. He likes to be driving and say, Siri, call Joe Blow or whoever. The lady at the store is going to help us tomorrow. I had no idea that 16, while still using 18.3, is so different than 14 was. He and I both had 14's; mine was a 14 Pro. So, to answer your question, I'd call Apple Accessibility at 877-204-3930. I had to call twice, because the first time, the connection was of such poor quality, that I simply could not understand the guy, and he did not screen share, kept trying to tell me what to do. The second time, I could understand the guy, and we did screen share. The problem for me was that in getting to Talk to Siri, Voiceover did not work through the prompts after saying say, Siri, what's the weather; it did not say for the second one, say Siri, send a message, but the Apple guy told me each time. Now that is in my phone. I was just surprised to find this many glitches. Secondly, I can’t remember how to extend the time before the Iphone goes to sleep – where do I find this in settings please?
