Unplug the cable. If you have a lint free cloth, like the microfiber cloths used to clean eye glasses, computer screens, etc, and can get a corner of one in the opening and gently brush back and forth, then plug the cable in again and see if that clears the connection. It could be some kind of dust particle got in there. If that doesn't work, while it is plugged in, reboot both the phone and the computer. If still no luck, call Apple Accessibility.

I connected my iPhone a little while ago to charge and got the message "Not charging. Liquid detected in the lightening...I could not catch the last word because it stopped talking" What should I do? I have not been near water with the phone, did not touch it with wet hands or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
