Try restarting your phone. I have had my phone do weird things including not making expected sounds and restarting my phone fixed the issues. One time, my phone was not letting any calls go through, just texts and voicemails. People would call, and I would have no idea unless they left a voicemail. Restarting the phone immediately resolved the problem. So this might be worth a try.
