I hadn’t noticed the sound because I usually reboot the phone rather than just
power it off.

So, today, I powered it off and the sound indeed was very clear.

When I powered it on, the sound did not seem as loud.

If the volume has changed, check in the settings, sounds and haptics, and see
if change with buttons is on or off.

I keep that off, so raising or lowering the volume with the side buttons
doesn’t change the ringtone and other alerts’ volume.

I have no idea if that will impact the turn on sound, but it might.

I am not finding a sound volume setting for the power off or on.

Hello Listers,

Some how I turned the volume down on the shut down sound on my iPhone 16e. How
do I turn it up again? The Power on sound is fine.
