I have this happen sometimes, no idea why. One time Siri will take the text & another she’ll say no contact with that name found. When the latter happens, I just open the contact & double tap on the phone # if I want to call that person or go down one screen & tap on send message. You’ll get the message screen & can then double tap to dictate your text.

I’ve been able to add contacts with few problems with the usual gestures and send text messages to those contacts using siri. I just added a contact that I can find with all the appropriate info but siri says “no contact found by that name.” What’s going on? What do I do: remove it and re-add?
