I've heard segments on various news programs that online sellers will be changing the price of their items on a regular basis this holiday season, even over the course of a single day. They have encouraged not only comparison shopping among different online retailers, but to check back frequently with the same retailer to see if there has been a favorable price change. Price changes are not always in the cheaper direction, though.
