For any patrons, clients, and supporters interested, we wanted to share with you this message relayed to us by our friends at ACB's Audio Description Project in regards to Audio Description being provided during Pope Francis' funeral this Saturday: a background of a blue sky with white clouds, a photo of Pope Francis with flowers, the dates of his life, and the Audio Descriptions logo Download attachment Please help spread the word that the CBS Television Network will be providing live audio description on Saturday, April 26 for the CBS News Special Report coverage of the Funeral of Pope Francis. The live coverage in all time zones will begin at 4:00 am ET / 1:00 am PT and will conclude sometime around the 6:00 am ET / 3:00am PT hour. CBS is pleased to present the full CBS broadcast with audio description on the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP). The live description will be provided by Descriptive Video Works. The broadcast will be available with additional audio narration, describing the rich visuals of the special funeral service. As always, if your local CBS affiliate does not reliably pass through audio description (also known as Network SAP), please contact them as soon as possible. The Audio Description Project's TV page has information on one way of finding your local affiliate's contact information if you do not already have it. Thank you to the CBS News Technical and the CBS News Special Events teams who were committed and able to make the live audio description happen for the blind and low vision community in such a short timeframe.
