The only problem with flicking down with 2 fingers to read continuously is that sometimes if you flick down a little bit too hard, it takes you out of the story and back into the main Apple News app!

To access a story you're interested in, simply double tap on the headline. You'll then go into that story and it will have focus on the screen. You can then use the rotor to read by character, word, line, etc. Flick down with two fingers for continuous reading. Many articles have headings or links and you can use the rotor to jump to these. Also, you can flick right to read through the article by paragraph.
