There are ways to side load third party apps on iPhone and iPad. I wouldn’t recommend it, and is mostly done by jail breakers. But it is possible. I don’t do it, and wouldn’t recommend it unless you want your system to be vulnerable to the things people do on androids and other open source platforms.
